Description
Silky’s large, multi-purpose BigBoy saw suits any outdoor worker. With its 14.2-inch blade and rubber-cushioned, double-fist handle, you have all the cutting power you need in your back pocket. BigBoy uses Silky’s MIRAI-ME tooth technology for fast cutting action and long blade life, and is suitable for cutting green or dried wood.
Multi-purpose folding saw with a 14-1/5-inch curved blade for greater reach. It is the largest Silky folding saw model. The BigBoy 2000 has a perfectly balanced, uniquely shaped low-angle curve (2,000 mm blade radius) and a hard chrome-plated blade. The low-angle curve lets it cut branches smoothly and very fast. The long, well-balanced taper-ground blade with impulse-hardened non-set teeth provides extended working reach and faster cutting, and handles large limbs and small trunks with little effort. The non-slip two-handed rubberised cushioned handle provides a sure and comfortable grip even in difficult operating conditions. It is an ideal multi-purpose folding saw for cutting big jobs down to size, and suits pruning and cutting green wood as well as dry, hard wood. Comes in a blister pack. Made in Japan.
The Silky BigBoy is available in four teeth configurations (tpi is teeth per inch): 5.5 tpi extra large/coarse (pruning, green wood), 6 tpi large/coarse (pruning, green wood), 8.5 tpi medium (soft wood) and 11 tpi fine (hard wood, bamboo). Each BigBoy has a colour-coded handle matching the teeth configuration: yellow for extra large, red for large, black for medium and blue for fine teeth.
