This saw blade has large aggressive teeth, designed to be an alternative to a small chainsaw. The blade is 330mm long. The teeth on this saw blade have NOT been hardened to allow you to sharpen them, when needed. The blades are hollow ground to reduce friction and increase easy of cutting action and speed. The teeth are set which means that you will cut a large amount of wood in one stroke. The blades are made from a material called SK4 which is a high carbon steel and then are coated in chrome to reduce rust and protect the blade. The Masaru is a PULL saw blade. All cutting occurs on the pull stroke. Put a minimal amount of pressure as you pull the blade toward yourself and then glide the saw forward. On the forward stroke the teeth will clear of timber or material and then on the pull stroke the saw will do the cutting again

Blade Only for ZUBAT 300mm ( LG teeth )

Silky Zubat blades are impulse hardened on the tops of the teeth. This flash heating places a hardened case around the tip of the tooth that keeps the teeth sharp for longer. The time length is equivalent to three sharpens of a non impulse hardened blade.
For the average home gardener a blade will stay sharp for many years. For arborists and orchardists using their Zubat on a daily basis, the average replacement time is a year.

Okatsune Japan bring you these beautiful secateurs! The blades are razor sharp and made from the finest Japanese steel (the same steel from the Katana sword of the Samurai are made) and enable you to effortlessly cut through branches up to 20mm. They will cut shrubs, roses, fruit trees and creepers. The red and white handles are a sign of good luck and can be easily seen if left on the ground and even when buried under autumn brown leaves. The red is clearly visible during the day and the white is for you nocturnal gardeners!
The blades lean to the right, because when you are cutting the objective is downward. The handles are designed to feel delicate in the hand. The grip feeling is supposed to be flexible. HITACHI steel is used for the blades. Hardness is HRC 60.0-61.0 So for this style of pruner this is very good and means that they will achieve long lasting sharpness and durability.
